A leather tote made from vegetable-tanned cow hide in a Saddle Brown color. Straps are fastened with rivets in an antique brass finish. Approximately 13" wide 13" tall, with 14" straps. This bag has been conditioned with a lanolin, beeswax and avocado oil conditioner, giving it a waxy feel and a strong protective coating. A small blemish on the upper right corner of the bag is visible in the first photo. Bag is priced accordingly.
Our bags begin as raw beef hides from farmers and butchers in Vermont's Champlain Valley. Hides are transformed into leather using environmentally sound processes and chestnut-based solutions by the Meyer Family in New York State, who have passed their tanning traditions down over the past 400 years.
